West Tour Serra Sculpture
Ras Brouq – a peninsula located on the west coast of Qatar – bears the remains of prehistoric human occupation. The beautiful and iconic rock formations at Ras Brouq offer a glimpse of a prehistoric landscape. Internationally acclaimed artist Richard Serra adds the astonishing East-West/West-East sculpture to the desert landscape, taking art to the people. This breathtaking sculpture in the Brouq nature reserve spans over a kilometer and comprises four steel plates, each over fourteen meters in height. To guarantee perfect alignment, Serra examined the topography of the land and beautifully enhanced the vast, desolate space in the heart of the desert. The result is spectacular and although contemporary, timeless.
Tour Plan/Itinerary
You will be picked up from your desired location,Hotel or Airport.And drive away from the city.In between you can see the Emir's Palace on your way. You will be visiting the mushroom hills in Ras Brouq. Then passing through the zekreet village, you get to see the Old Mosque in Zekreet and the Imam House. Both are Heritage sites. And then driving through a vast rocky desert in a 4x4 car, you will reach the Richard serra sculpture.
